Rookie Spencer Kieboom accidentally plunked Cody Bellinger on a throw back to the mound

Nationals catching prospect and Awesome Last Name Haver Spencer Kieboom made his first career Major League start in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader between Washington and the Dodgers. It's a once-in-a-lifetime moment for any player, and we can only imagine what kind of nerves he was dealing with.
Which is why we're more than willing to forgive him for temporarily forgetting how to throw the ball back to the pitcher -- and Cody Bellinger was, too:

His first Major League goof out of the way, Kieboom settled in and focused on just playing baseball -- including his first career hit:
