Reds Futures High School Showcase

Reds Futures High School Showcase

The 13th annual Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase presented by Cincinnati Children’s Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics will feature 98 high school baseball and softball teams from 81 Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and Dayton schools playing 49 games from April 1 to May 13, 2024.

Opening Day for Ohio teams is Goshen vs. Western Brown on April 1 at the Midland Baseball Complex.

Opening Day for Kentucky features Covington Catholic vs. Dixie Heights on April 3 at Covington Catholic.

Opening Weekend at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy features baseball and softball games on April 5 & 6.

On April 13, the Showcase will celebrate Jackie Robinson Day by hosting teams from Cincinnati Public Schools at the Reds Youth Academy. In honor of Robinson, all players will wear “42” jerseys provided by the Reds Community Fund and Nike.

Three softball games will be played on April 14 at the Reds Youth Academy, including the annual “Gabby Rodriguez Game.” The Oyler vs. Western Hills match-up at Noon will be played in memory of the late student-athlete who passed away in 2018 following a hit-and-run accident. Rodriguez was an outstanding player at Western Hills High School as well as a baseball and softball standout with the Reds Nike RBI program.

The University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Miami University and Wright State University will host Showcase games. Ten teams will play at Great American Ball Park on May 10 & 11 for the annual “Big League Weekend.”

Showcase tickets are $5 each and are available at the scheduled ballpark on game days. With each Showcase ticket purchased, fans will receive a voucher good for one free View Level ticket to a select 2024 Reds game and a coupon good for one free Skyline Chili Cheese Coney at participating restaurants, while supplies last. Big League Weekend tickets at Great American Ball Park on May 10-11 cost $10 and do not include a Reds game ticket voucher or a Skyline Chili coupon.

All participating Showcase teams will be invited to Great American Ball Park on Sunday, May 5 to participate in the “March at the Majors” pre-game parade before the Reds vs. Baltimore Orioles game. The Showcase’s Most Valuable Players will receive their commemorative bats during pregame ceremonies.
